All of a sudden: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource

Starting last week Friday, our keys for our account totally stopped working with the below error:

Failed to load https://www.mapquestapi.com/directions/v2/routematrix?key="key value": Response to preflight request doesn't pass access control check: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'https://<URL>/' is therefore not allowed access.

When we plug in the keys that our development team uses, everything works.  While using our development's teams keys provides a workaround, we need to fix our account keys.

Could someone shed some light as to what may have happened, and how we go about resolving this?

If you've exceeded the
If you've exceeded the monthly allotment for the key then an error message will be returned. Sometimes those error messages don't have all of the CORS headers and can cause this type of error.

Thanks, given we have a paid plan, should we have received email notification that we are reaching our limit? We haven't seen anything come across at 80% or 90% of usage.

Only overage plans receive
Only overage plans receive the warning notification emails - to warn of impending charges. Non-overage plans do not get the notification emails since there is no potential extra charge.
