Bad geolocation for address with NW

Doing a search for this address returns an ambiguous response (even on the mapquest.com site)
10423 - 101 Street
Edmonton, AB T5H 0E7

This returns the proper coordinates.
10423 - 101 Street NW
Edmonton, AB T5H 0E7

It seems like we are seeing this with a number of addresses that have the NW type designation and seems to be coming up a lot.

I don't really understand why this would be ambiguous, as only the one geolocation matches that zip code.

Any help/information would be greatly appreciated.

Since the address is not

Since the address is not exact, ambiguous results can be returned. The quality code can be used to determine how accurate and confident each geocode result is. Quality codes are explained and can be decyphered in the geocode api user guide here. In this case the expected result is the second one returned. It has a quality code P1BAB meaning the address was close and the postal code was close. The postal code in the data is T5H 0E8 which is one of the valid versions. The first result matches the street address perfectly. It has a quality code B3AAC meaning a block was found with the correct street name and bad postal code.

I hope that helps clear up any confusion.
