How to mix custom data with mapquest data ?

Hi,

I have custom geolocated data (10k point), I would like to know if it's possible to do the following query "give me all the custom data located in the place with osm id XXX or within Y km to the place with osm_id XXX" ?

Enterprise Edition users can upload data to the data manager api which makes it available to the search api. Then the data can be searched by proximity and/or by an id. I believe that's what you're after.   If not, Nominatim can be used to search the OSM data. But there isn't a tool to search local data or data manager data in the same request as the OSM data.

So, let's say I created a table called "myplaces" (id_place int, geopoint geometry). What would the search api call look like if I want all the places in france ?

It might look something like this. Without the other data this will rely on the polygon shape points of France. So a lot of generalization of the shape should be used to minimize the request size. If you wanted to really (over) generalize it you could do a rectangle search.   http://www.mapquestapi.com/search/v2/polygon?key=[KEY]&polygon=[FRANCE SHAPE GENERALIZED]&hostedData=mqap.[KEY]_myplaces
