Key not authorized

Hello,

First time caller long time listener. Seriously though I do have a problem that maybe someone here can shed some light on. I have a flash based legacy website that I inherited from a previous admin. 3/4/19 we started recieving complaints of the map ( AS 7.1.5 OSM ) not loading. The message reads "This key is not authorized for this service. If you do not have a key you can obtain a free key by registering at Http://devoloper.mapquest.com" The problem is that I already have a key and am registered. I logged into the site and approved the key but it has not helpped. What would be my next steps? Any insight would be helpful.

Thank you

John

We have heard from another

We have heard from another Flash SDK user this week. The Flash SDK was sunset years ago and was last supported in June 2017. The team that built that SDK is no longer with MapQuest. There will be no updates or fixes for the Flash SDK.

The current web map SDK is MapQuest.js.

Thank you for the response!

Thank you for the response! Do you have any insight as to why the map just started doing this? There hasn't been a change to the code in years and is now displaying a key problem. The key was first registered in 2016 and show the expiration date of " Never ". Do you believe it would be helpful to create a new one? If so would I have to edit the website code to reflect the new key? Thank you

While the error message
While the error message mentions the key, that is not the issue. The key itself works great. Try it in a geocode request. The issue is the Flash SDK. It is not handling the changes that have happened since it was sunset then ended support. There is no fix for the unsupported Flash SDK.
