MapQuest.js 1.3

Updated leaflet version to 1.3.1

 

General

On dark, hybrid, and satellite maps, a dark MapQuest logo now appears

 

Directions Control

Titles now appear when hovering on markers by default

paddingBottomRight default value was changed to [180, 20]

Titles now appear when hovering on inputs clear buttons

Markers now show address text to the right of the marker on the map.

When typing in an address you can click away from the input and the search ahead results will be hidden until you click back to the input.

Narrative Control

Update scrollbar style for long narratives

Update the css class names to be more unique to reduce collisions with other css classes

Update the visual style of the popup that appears when a narrative maneuver is clicked.

 

Geocoding

Update the visual style of the popup that appears when geocodes are placed automatically on the map.

 

Geocoding Layer

The new layer that visualizes geocoding results from the geocoding api onto the map

Customizable markers are rendered on the map that correspond to individual results.

When markers are hovered upon, a popup is rendered with address information.

The event 'geocoding_results_changed' is fired whenever the geocoding results are updated by function.

The event 'geocoding_marker_clicked' is fired when a user clicks on a specific marker. The event contains the specific location data in its payload.

Customize the markers, padding, popups, and other attributes of the layer.

Fixed a bug that caused the marker, when clicked, to not be removed from the map.

 

Text Marker

A new marker type that allows for both markers and text to be used in combination. The text is rendered in one of four positions (right, left, top, bottom).

Has the ability to show subtext below the main text field.

A new class that interfaces to the new place search api

Customize requests using options and get results back by callback.

 

Search Layer

The new layer that visualizes search results from the place search api onto the map

Customizable markers are rendered on the map that correspond to individual search results. 

The place name is rendered to right of the markers. If place names collide, lower search results place name will be hidden.

When markers are hovered upon, a popup is rendered with place name and address information.

The event 'search_results_changed' is fired whenever the search results are updated. Either by function or interacting with the map.

The event 'search_marker_clicked' is fired when a user clicks on a specific search result marker. The event contains the specific search result data in its payload.

Customize the markers, padding, popups, and other attributes of the layer.

 

Search Control

A new control that shows off the power of the new place search api, and search ahead api together to search for anything on a map.

Customize requests using options and get results back by callback.

In the list, hover on a search result, the marker on the map will change to focus user directly to the result.

Search for categories and franchises (Starbucks, or Dentists)

Use the left hand control to page through results and toggle the ability to update results when the map moves.

Customize the markers, padding, and other attributes of the layer.

A new 'map_type_changed' event is fired when a tile layer is added to the map
