Use of MAPQuest webservice from Native Mobile APP written in JAVA

Hi,

I am currently developping a native JAVA application.

I would like to use the direction web service as part of my application in order to propose a navigation facility for my customer.

I have seen that we can get a list of information/points with the direction web service but I don't understand how we link this information to the map stored on the phone.

Could you provide me some guideline in order to realize a navigation from one point to another launched by a native JAVA application on an Android mobile phone ?

Thanks

Sam

The MapQuest Android sdk will be out early (hopefully) next year. This will have wrappers around the apis, like directions, to help put objects on the map.   Whatever map is currently being used should have a function for displaying a line or markers given shape points. The directions api will return the shape points if the shapeFormat and generalize parameters are included in the request.
